Before We Gather

Every Sunday morning we gather to direct our attentions to the Lord and pray together over our Sunday service.

Everyone is welcome!

9-9:45am

Utilizing the devotional book Before We Gather written by pastor Zac Hicks, we gather to focus our attention on the Lord and to pray together over our Sunday morning ministries before they begin. Although this book is written for worship leaders and worship teams, the devotionals and prayer prompts are more than applicable for anyone who wants to be encouraged and challenged in their view of worship and to pray over our services and congregation.

We just read the opening and closing sections, but we missed about half of it. We wanted to read enough of it, though, that we got its flavor and pattern. It’s a repeating…

Week 31 | The Spillover

The Spillover Before We Gather by Zach Hicks | Scripture Read Psalm 139:1-18 | Devotion I once heard a preacher say, “Worship begins when knowledge of God spills over from head to heart.” That has always stuck with me, and I find it to be not only simple and profound but also biblical. The author…
