From the Leadership Council of Culpeper Baptist Church and the Board of Culpeper Baptist Child Development Center, Inc.
Last summer the Leadership Council of the Culpeper Baptist Church began a comprehensive review of the Culpeper Baptist Child Development Center. The goal was to make sure the business practices were sound, children were receiving premier services and the teaching team was offered careers, not just jobs. We presented the report to the church at the March 2025 Business Meeting and the church gave authority to the Leadership Council to finalize an agreement with Brynmor Early Education and Preschool. On Monday, August 4, 2025, Brynmor Early Education and Preschool becomes the new operator of the 75-year old program. The Church is excited about the many assets Brynmor brings to our program.
The changes planned are small and seamless but they are all critically important too. They are designed to improve the quality of service to our children and our teaching staff while continuing to extend the mission of Culpeper Baptist Church. Please see the intro letter from Rhian Allvin - the CEO of Brynmor.

Dear Culpeper Families:
Brynmor Early Education & Preschool (Brynmor) is thrilled to partner with the Culpeper Baptist Church to provide high-quality childcare beginning August 4, 2025. We are honored to be supporting the next chapter of this extraordinary childcare center that has built a strong reputation and 75-year legacy.
Brynmor was founded on the belief that high quality early childhood education should be in reach for every child, family, and community and that early childhood educators deserve the professional respect and recognition that aligns to the science of early learning. We are committed to the experience each child and family has with our educators and administrative team in Culpeper. Our greatest hope is that each day we nurture creativity and curiosity in a joyful, play-based environment.
Brynmor’s team brings premium academic operational and systems experience. We know how to lead and run high quality programs and we have a deep commitment to family experience.
Prior to founding Brynmor, I served as the CEO at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for nine years and prior to that I was the CEO at First Things First in Arizona, overseeing a $150 million dollar public/private system of early childhood education.
We know this transition could possibly be stressful. Our commitment is to communicate thoroughly and make ourselves available for any questions you may have.
We would like to personally introduce ourselves to you, discuss our curriculum and operational approach, tuition and fees, enrollment process and answer any questions you may have. We have scheduled two sessions, one in person and one by Zoom:
- In Person Session: Wednesday, May 28, 5:00 p.m.
- Virtual Session on Zoom: Thursday, May 29, 7:00 p.m. ZOOM LINK
Prior to those sessions you will receive enrollment, tuition and fee information. In June, you will receive a link to enroll in Brightwheel, our online child care management system. Once your child’s profile is in Brightwheel we will send you all the necessary paperwork.
Current families will have the first two weeks of June to enroll and then we will open enrollment to new families.
Our commitment to you is to be proactive and transparent partners in your child’s learning and development, and to be a professional educational environment for our early childhood educators. We look forward to meeting you. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you have. I can be reached at rallvin@brynmorearlyed.com.
Sincerely,
Rhian Evans Allvin
