Culpeper’s Role in the Story of Religious Liberty
Past, Present, and Future
Culpeper County High School Auditorium
Wednesday, April 22
6:00–7:45 p.m.
Reception to follow in the Library, with an opportunity to observe the Muslim Call to Prayer in the Studio.
Join us for an evening celebrating Culpeper’s unique place in the story of religious liberty. We will begin in the colonial era - when 11 Baptist preachers were imprisoned in the Culpeper jail for preaching - and trace how those early struggles helped shape a founding principle of our nation. Together, we’ll explore how religious liberty continues to present both challenges and opportunities in our community today and for the future.
Our three keynote speakers will each share their perspective on religious liberty, followed by a moderated Q&A session.
