ChiSpark is back for its sixth year, now with expanded summer offerings to serve even more families in the community. This free day camp for rising K–8th graders is designed to provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children throughout the summer months.
Thanks to the generous support of the Path Foundation, the camp is free and accessible to all participants. The program also continues to benefit from the ongoing partnership with Culpeper Baptist Church, which provides both funding and space each year. In addition, ChiSpark is grateful for the Culpeper Human Services Summer Food Program, which will provide meals for campers throughout the summer. This year, the program expects to serve more than 200 children.
The June session will run June 1–25, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with both breakfast and lunch provided. For families needing extended care, a limited number of all-day care slots are available through Brynmor at Culpeper Baptist.
The July session will take place July 6–23, Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with dinner and a snack included.
Each day at ChiSpark is led by public school teachers who guide academic enrichment activities. Campers also enjoy guest speakers, STEAM-based learning opportunities, and meaningful time with friends—both new and familiar.
Registration is now open. Families can sign up, and volunteers (high school students and adults) can also register to serve.
