At the beginning of August, Danny and Christina went to the Global Leadership Summit Conference in Chicago where over 7,000 people attended to grow in their leadership skills! Speakers included Craig Groeschel, Pastor of Life Church & Founder of YouVersion Bible app, Coach K, former Duke University head coach & Coach for the Olympic Gold USA Men's Basketball Team, and Joni Eareckson Tada, foremost leader in the disability community and champion of the American Disability Act. They traveled with 30 other people from NorthStar Church Network and enjoyed connecting with other leaders in ministry and in the world of business!
Both Danny and Christina walked away inspired to pursue their "obsessions", or the things they're passionate about that will make an impact in their communities. They also learned the power of storytelling that brings people together, how to go above and beyond in serving others, and emphasizing "who" over "what" is your legacy. They look forward to bringing this type of energy and creative thinking to the ministries of CBC and the community of Culpeper!
